History

Date of Birth: May 27th, 1968
Home: Santa Barbara, California, United States
Family: Charles and Moonstar McAndrews (parents), Meredith (wife), Bailey (stepdaughter)
Death: Personal Tragedy (Ethan's upbringing centered on his hippy-dippy parents who lived in a commune and taught Ethan about a relativistic conception of "universal love", and he pursued a life as an artist and eventually art teacher, marrying Meredith who was a fellow high school teacher, but he discovered her daughter Bailey was a budding artist herself; this triggered the secret relationship between he and his stepdaughter, and knowing their illicit relationship would condemn their lives, led to their mutual suicide by overdosing on narcotics), 2004
Mentor: Louis Kabob
The Test: Trial by Knowledge (after his death, he and Bailey were Reaped at the same time by the Masquers, who took them in and trained them in the ways of the Afterlife, and initiated them into the Guild as artists with a new kind of canvas)
Comrades: Bailey McAndrews
Key Event #1: Awe & Wonder (he immediately isolated with Bailey in their Haunt, content to believe the afterlife would provide eternal bliss with each other, and having faced no real tests to the contrary yet)
Transition: Shift in Purpose (as the Underworld stirred up more, Ethan acknowledged that Bailey's faith that their eternity would pass unburdened began to shrink; he answered her worries by venturing out into the hazards of the afterlife more often)

The Shadow

Appearance: Himself with cartoonishly lusty eyes and lolling tongue, as if caught in a permanent peep show
Trigger: Whenever the opportunity to play out one of his secret perversions or desires presents itself.

The Parlor (Haunt)

Location: Oakland, California, United States
Structure: House (sun parlor)
Stock: Easels where he and Bailey used to paint
Traits: Haunt 2

Artifacts & Relics

Painting: "Bailey and I"
Appearance: A watercolor painting, a self-portrait of him snuggling with Bailey under blankets
Origin: Inherent (Relic)

Significant Other

Name: Bailey McAndrews, 2003
Nature: Romantic

Bailey

Weakness
Arrogation of Love

His presumptions of romance and art led him to believe that "his heart" could do no wrong, but now he's dead, and he dragged a teenage girl down with him. They can fall farther yet, if they don't learn anything from it.

Likelihood of Corruption

Average.

His self-imposed isolation with Bailey ends now, and with that comes greater exposure to all sorts of dangers, not the least of which include the dark whispers of spectres in the Tempest.
